The Sophomore J-Hawk team swept Prairie Friday night by scores of 10-7 and and 6-3.

In the first game, Trey King threw all 7 innings earning the win. The J-Hawks fell behind early, and were down 7-2 heading into the 7th. The never-say-die attitude kicked in during the 7th inning. The J-Hawks sent 12 batters to the plate and scored 8 consecutive runs to take the lead and the win. Dakota Hulsing hit the ball well, going 3-4 with 2 singles and a triple. Dedrick Hawkins also added two hits.

The second game was a battle, as Nile Happel threw the first four innings, giving up only two runs. The J-Hawks scored three runs in the third with Kane Kramer coming up big to knock in a pair. Tyler Unkel would only surrender one more run in the final three innings and earned the win. Tied at 3, the J-Hawks rallied again as Rhett Thompson would bat in Hulsing for a score, another run would walk in, and a sacrifice fly by Connor Van Scoyoc sent Tyler Unkel in for the final run.

The J-Hawks will look to continue their hot streak against Dubuque Hempstead, who they will play on the road on Monday.
